Seeking expertise:
KNEIA is seeking a project coordinator and partners to participate in the MINDCARE project to develop, validate, and implement evidence-based digital interventions that prevent the harmful effects of digital technologies on the mental health of children and young adults, while promoting responsible use, resilience, and well-being. The project will generate robust neuro-biological, cognitive, and behavioral evidence by leveraging multi-source data, including physiological, behavioral, clinical, and digital usage metrics, and employing AI and DSS to uncover risk patterns, early warning signals, and personalized intervention strategies.
TOPIC “HORIZON-HLTH-2026-01-DISEASE-02: Innovative interventions to prevent the harmful effects of using digital technologies on the mental health of children and young adults” indicates: “proposals should aim at generating robust scientific evidence on the impact of digital technologies, as well as developing and testing context-specific digital interventions that promote the positive and responsible use of them to improve mental health, avoiding the development or exacerbation of mental disorders. These innovative digital interventions should leverage multi-source data (e.g. sleep patterns, heart rate, stress levels, screen-time analytics, social media use, biological data, clinical data), and could include the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). When handling data and indicators, sex- and gender-disaggregated data should be collected and analysed, incorporating intersectional factors where feasible”
The outcomes of the project will contribute to generating robust neuro-biological, cognitive, and behavioural evidence, advancing AI-enabled tools for early detection and personalized intervention, and informing policy, clinical practice, and educational strategies that support safe and positive digital engagement among young populations.
