Seeking expertise:
Slovak consortium is developing a Horizon Europe Twinning proposal focusing on strengthening institutional excellence in AI-driven terminology development for the Green Economy. The project addresses the EU Green Deal priority to support sustainability transitions through high-quality multilingual communication.
Non-Anglophone languages such as Slovak and Spanish, or are currently under-resourced in AI models, corpora, and terminological databases. This leads to inconsistencies in legislation, policy, industry documentation, and academic communication. The project will address this gap by building the first multilingual GreenEco Terminology Corpus, piloting AI-assisted terminology processing, and establishing a long-term excellence partnership with leading EU institutions.
The project also aims to strengthen research management capacities by creating an institutional Project Office to support strategic development and long-term participation in Horizon Europe.
We are interested in contributing to the following activities:
1. Developing multilingual resources and mapping conceptual gaps in Green Economy terminology in Slovak and Spanish;
2. Organising and participating in mutual learning activities in AI, terminology, multilingual NLP and data literacy;
3. Facilitating international cooperation with universities, research centres and industry stakeholders to support AI innovation in sustainability communication;
4. Coordinating thematic working groups on AI-based terminology extraction, corpus building, and language resource development;
5. Developing recommendations for terminology harmonisation across Green Deal policy fields;
6. Strengthening research management capacities through training, mentoring, and exchange of best practices (Project Office).
