Open Innovation Opportunity

Project Proposal

From the Research group of Cancer Biomarkers (GReBiC) research group at IRBLleida.

We are coordinating an application for the TRANSCAN 2026 call, addressing Aim1: Enabling Better Cancer Diagnostics and Monitoring through Metabolic Biomarkers. Our research group specializes in triple-negative breast cancer biology and CRISPR-mediated gene editing, and we have direct access to breast cancer patient specimens (including blood and tissue samples).

We would like to submit an application that integrates CRISPR/Cas9 editing and advanced far-red fluorescent microscopy to elucidate MYC and BRD4 biomarker functions in triple-negative breast cancer, focusing on MYC and BRD4 as emerging metabolic biomarkers.

We are currently seeking a European partner with expertise in cancer metabolism. We consider that a group specialized in mechanistic and preclinical metabolism would be a great fit.

Thanks in advance.
