Project Proposal

Dear potential Partners,
HelioTech Company from Ukraine is preparing a proposal for the topic above, and is eager to submit the proposal SMART-BUILD.

The proposed project envisions the transformation of the construction and renovation industry by developing innovative, cost-effective, and adaptable solutions rooted in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Digital Twin technologies. This vision aligns with the urgent need to address challenges in reducing construction time and costs, enhancing material reuse and recycling, and improving the overall performance and sustainability of buildings. Through this project, we aim to revolutionize the lifecycle management of buildings by integrating advanced digital tools and fostering collaboration among stakeholders, particularly SMEs, to ensure broad application and commercial scalability.
Our project will develop and integrate BIM and Digital Twin-based solutions to support the entire lifecycle of buildings, from design to deconstruction and reuse. These solutions will enable optimal and adaptable building designs focusing on energy efficiency, circularity, and sustainability. By leveraging IoT devices, sensors, and interoperable digital platforms, the project will facilitate real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance, thereby ensuring improved building performance, reduced lifecycle costs, and enhanced well-being for occupants.
The tools developed will track building materials and construction products, supporting efficient deconstruction and reuse while providing high-quality, interoperable data throughout the lifecycle. The solutions will be built on open BIM standards and integrate digital logbooks, ensuring seamless data exchange and integrity for stakeholders across the value chain. Ease of use and cost-effectiveness will be prioritized, making these solutions particularly accessible for SMEs with limited experience in digital technologies.
To validate the developed solutions, the project will be applied to at least two real-life building projects (residential and non-residential) in diverse climatic regions across two countries. These demonstration projects will involve local and regional value chains, including SMEs, and employ participatory approaches to enhance innovation acceptability. Clear, quantified, and measurable indicators will be established to assess improvements in construction costs, material reuse rates, energy efficiency, and overall sustainability.
By contributing to the Built4People initiative and fostering innovation clusters, this project will drive systemic change in the construction industry, making buildings more adaptable, efficient, and circular. Our vision is to create an industry where digital solutions enable a new standard of sustainable and resilient buildings, accessible to all stakeholders and scalable across Europe.
Since the time is running out, we would welcome partners to contact us and join in this exciting (and deadline oriented) journey!

Thank you in advance!
