Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis (LIOS) is seeking to join a consortium preparing a proposal for the Horizon Europe call HORIZON-WIDERA-2025-06-ERA-01: Rolling out the ERA Policy Agenda results, specifically Area 3: Establish communities of practice to strengthen research careers.
As the leading drug discovery and development centre in the Baltic region, LIOS promotes scientific excellence through comprehensive support for research career development and Horizon Europe project management, recognising the latter as an enabler of sustainable research careers. LIOS is actively involved in EU-level initiatives to advance researcher development and research management (e.g., through the A4L_BRIDGE and RM ROADMAP projects).
LIOS is interested in contributing to the following activities:
1) mapping challenges and exchanging good practices in research career development;
2) organizing and participating in mutual learning events and facilitating intra- and extra-consortium cooperation and networking with stakeholders, including industry to explore intersectoral career pathways;
3) participating in or coordinating thematic working groups on research career development within the community of practice;
4) developing recommendations for policymakers in relation to
aspects covered by the new framework to strengthen research careers.
LIOS seeks to connect with universities, research performing organisations, research funding organisations, researchers’ associations, public bodies, and other relevant stakeholders who are assembling a proposal for this call.
