Seeking expertise:
Erciyes University (Türkiye) is preparing a consortium for the Horizon Europe Research Infrastructures call HORIZON-INFRA-2026-DEV-01-01: “Research infrastructure concept development including major upgrades or extensions of existing infrastructures”.
We are developing AGRIVERSE-RI (A Distributed AI-Enabled Research Infrastructure Ecosystem for Climate-Resilient Agriculture), a pan-European distributed research infrastructure concept integrating agricultural research infrastructures, genomics, bioinformatics, phenomics, AI-driven analytics, sensor systems, digital twins, FAIR agricultural data, and decision-support platforms.
The initiative aims to connect fragmented but complementary infrastructures across Europe into an interoperable ecosystem supporting climate-smart agriculture, resilient food systems, biodiversity preservation, and AI-enabled agricultural research.
The emerging consortium already includes expertise and infrastructure capacities in:
* agricultural experimental infrastructures,
* next-generation sequencing and genomics,
* bioinformatics and AI,
* plant stress biology,
* digital agriculture,
* sensor systems and smart agriculture,
* digital twin technologies,
* climate-resilient agriculture,
* FAIR and EOSC-compatible data systems.
We are currently seeking additional partners with strong expertise and/or operational infrastructures in the following areas:
* ESFRI and research infrastructure ecosystems,
* distributed and federated infrastructures,
* AI and machine learning for agriculture,
* digital twins,
* environmental sensing and IoT systems,
* phenotyping and multi-omics,
* cloud/HPC infrastructures,
* FAIR data and interoperability,
* EOSC integration,
* smart agriculture platforms,
* living labs and experimental farms,
* agricultural innovation ecosystems.
Particular interest is given to:
* universities and research centers,
* research infrastructure operators,
* technology SMEs,
* AI and data infrastructure providers,
* agri-tech innovators,
* organizations with previous Horizon Europe and RI experience.
The project is aligned with:
* European Green Deal,
* Climate Adaptation priorities,
* Digital Europe,
* AI in Science,
* Sustainable Food Systems,
* European Research Area objectives.
Potential collaborators are warmly invited to contact us and briefly describe:
* their infrastructure capacities,
* relevant expertise,
* previous European project experience,
* potential contribution to the consortium.
