Title: Demystifying US Research Funding: A Guide for International Researchers
Data: 28th November
Time: 11 am CET
Location: Online
Register: https://bit.ly/3YkL8zv
This practical session will provide an overview of US research funding, with special emphasis on US Federal funding, and how researchers can navigate the complexities of this funding landscape.
It will explain the types of opportunities that are available to international researchers, how to navigate the Federal portals, the application and review processes, and the key compliance pitfalls researchers can fall into. The session will also explain how funding agencies are responding to Federal government mandates like the National Security Presidential Memorandum 33 (NSPM-33), and offer solutions for managing increased monitoring like, for example, the NIH’s revised policy for non-US subaward recipients.
As a case study, it will spotlight the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as the archetype of a Federal sponsor.
