Project Proposal

The BreastScreening-AI project under the company name SensiPerception, LDA, together with Instituto Superior Técnico (University of Lisbon) and ISR-Lisboa/LARSyS, is seeking to join an existing consortium preparing a proposal for DIGITAL-2026-AI-09-SOLUTIONS-CANCER-STEP. We are interested in contributing as a scientific and technical partner, not as a coordinator.

Our ecosystem integrates translational innovation with academic excellence. We develop cutting-edge multimodal AI solutions for breast cancer screening and diagnosis, combining medical imaging with structured clinical data to support early detection. Our work emphasizes Human-AI Interaction, explainability, and clinician-in-the-loop decision support, ensuring that AI systems are aligned with real diagnostic workflows. We contribute expertise in AI observability, data quality, and responsible deployment, fully aligned with EHDS, CE-IVDR, and interoperability requirements relevant to Cancer Image Europe.

We can support consortium efforts in:

– Deployment and validation of AI tools for medical imaging.

– Integration of multimodal data (imaging + clinical/omics).

– Development of data services, APIs, and quality-assurance workflows compatible with Cancer Image Europe.

– Multicenter clinical evaluation and user-centered evidence generation.

– Training and upskilling of radiologists and imaging professionals.

Our institutional participation spans HCI, AI, Health Informatics, and EU digital-health initiatives across Horizon Europe, EIC, and EU4Health. We welcome contact from coordinators seeking a credible, clinically connected, and Human-Centered AI partner.
