Call for Contributions to the 3rd European Carbon Farming Summit is now open!
Seeking collaborator:
Seeking expertise:
Dear summit attendee,
We are pleased to announce that the Call for Contributions to the 3rd European Carbon Farming Summit is now open!
As previously communicated, the summit will take place at the Padova Congress Centre, in Padua, Italy, from 17–19 March 2026. Once again, the summit will be organised by SAE Innova and Climate KIC as part of the Project Credible consortium, and co-hosted by EIT Food (as LILAS4SOILS coordinator) and supported by Confagricoltura Veneto and Veneto Agricoltura.
In this Call for Contributions, we invite proposals that share knowledge and content connected to one or more of our key thematic areas (listed below, and further expanded in the attached concept note).
You can submit:
Poster presentations
Oral presentations
Full sessions (e.g. panels with multiple speakers)
Workshops / participatory dynamics
This year, we are simplifying the process with one single Call for Contributions. A coherent programme will be developed by the Credible team with the material submitted. Selected contributors will be contacted in November 2025. Oral presentations will be grouped into joint thematic sessions.
Submit your proposal here: https://forms.office.com/Pages...
Deadline for submissions: Friday 31 October 2025 (EOD)
Thematic areas include:
Driving finance and investments into carbon farming.
Practical examples and results from implemented carbon farming projects.
Development of rigorous yet flexible MRV approaches.
Who can claim carbon removals? Untangling ownership rights, from farmers to buyers of certificates, from insetting schemes to national inventories.
Beyond carbon: Exploring holistic approaches that put the focus on the co-benefits (environmental and social) of carbon farming.
Because contributions may naturally span multiple areas of interest, we won’t ask you to apply under just one theme. Instead, the submission form allows you to select 3 relevant topics that your contribution touches on. This will help the organising team group submissions into coherent sessions, and ensure your work is placed where it fits best within the summit programme. Please also note that this third summit aims to bring concrete recommendations relevant to policies and their coherence both vertically (across institutional levels) and horizontally (across sectors). Thank you for your interest in the summit, and we look forward to receiving your ideas.
Best wishes,
The Carbon Farming Summit Team
