The ACU has recently launched a call for applications for the King’s Commonwealth Fellowship Programme Climate Resilience Fellowships (KCFP CRF). In collaboration with Fiji National University, UK Met Office, University of Greenwich, University of Mauritius, University of the South Pacific, and the University of Trinidad and Tobago, the KCFP CRF is a fully funded one-year applied training programme for mid-career professionals across all sectors from Commonwealth Small Island Developing States (SIDS).

KCFP Climate Resilience Fellowships
The KCFP Climate Resilience Fellowships are open to mid-career professionals who are working on the frontline of climate adaptation from Commonwealth SIDS. This Fellowship will provide fellows with the practical tools needed to respond to and build long-term resilience against the current climate crisis with near immediate effect.
The Fellowship includes:
• A fully funded one-year blended training programme guided by expert facilitators via online and project-based learning with modules covering:
o Climate literacy;
o inter-sectoral collaboration;
o influencing policy;
o climate finance.
• A fully funded one-week in-person residential in Fiji to support networking, collaborative efforts and project development.
• A participant-defined and -led workplace-based applied learning project, supported by mentors and peers
• Access to a virtual Community of Practice for shared problem solving and information exchange.
Participants undertake the course while continuing their employment, with project-based learning embedded into their existing responsibilities. We are actively progressing towards formal accreditation, with the goal of offering a Postgraduate Certificate that reflects the rigour and value of the programme.
